Carolyn Ellen Joseph James was born to Andrew and Magnolia Joseph (both deceased). Being the youngest of 5 and a twin, she grew to be the glue of the family.
She attended Palm Beach County area schools graduating from the last class of Roosevelt High School in 1970. In her seasoned years Carolyn pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Social Science at Barry University. Palm Beach County Human Services was privileged to have her as an employee for 30+ years of service. Carolyn loved being a Social Worker. Her passion for helping people was first class. She received many awards and recognitions including the prestigious Golden Palm Award.
In her 25 years battling breast cancer, Carolyn was a FIGHTER! Leaning on her husband Emanuel of 43 years, her children Markee (Tequesta) and Monique (Gary), grandchildren JaKorya, Tre, Jalen and Nyla, nephew Sam and childhood friend Carolyn Jones, she never gave up! She kept the faith and never complained! Her desire was to live and enjoy life to the fullest. She had a beautiful bright smile that was unforgettable!
Carolyn was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was a dedicated Christian and served in many capacities at church. She founded the B.C. Thomas Scholarship Fund and worked diligently as the Missionary Department Chairperson. She had an ambition to help the youth. Carolyn wanted them to reach their potential and achieve great things.
